From the passion for our work, the wish to value our Land and from our enthusiasm towards new challenges and adventures – features our three founders all share – our project targeted to a more specific and tailored sect of tourism began.
ROOTS’ objective is to reconnect Italian emigrants back to their Homeland. To help them rediscover their roots through tailored services which provide experiences richer than those obtained through a mere holiday to our Motherland. Between the 1800’s and the 1970’s many co-nationals sought work and opportunities overseas. Today, their descendants swish to learn and experience the land where their parents and grandparents grew up; as a way to get in touch with their origins, their roots.
Who lives far from their Homeland still feels a strong tie to it, which is why ROOTS, through its mission, aims to strengthen the ties to ones ancestral land through personalised itineraries.
By completing specialised questionaries and through personal requests we’ll conjure a tour which will allow you to walk in your ancestors’ steps, re-live traditions, whilst rediscovering your land. This journey will lead you through the history, the culture, the landscapes and the gastronomy of your hometown, shedding light on the areas of minor value in tourism.
Numerous Italian agencies in foreign countries allow us to reach out to a succinct audience, intercepting the needs and wants of the new generations and creating a more desirable service by employing an excellent selection of regional operators. From tour guides, genealogists, hoteliers, restauranteurs, artisans, dairy producers and the likes, to enchanting natural and archeological treasures all play a part in allowing the visitor to fully immerse himself in a culture different from the one he lives in, but the one his ancestors grew up in. This, in fact, is the element which will make this experience unique and authentic, packing it with emotional content which will ensure the memory of an excellent journey will last a long time.
