Nicola nasce nel 270 d.C. a Patara, nell’odierna Turchia. I suoi genitori gli insegnarono i valori cristiani, divenne sacerdote e poi vescovo di Mitra, in Asia Minore. Come altri cristiani, fu perseguitato da Diocleziano e poi graziato da Costantino. Nel 325 partecipa al Concilio di Nicea. Morì di vecchiaia il 06 dicembre 343 a Myra....
